Garlic planted against raspberries keeps them contained. Suitable for fall-planted hardneck garlic in cool temperate climate. Plant garlic no more than 6" apart in a row along the raspberry bed in late fall. When the raspberry attempts to push out suckers in the spring, it won't cross the wall of garlic. I just planted this pattern out myself this year, with a newly planted row of rooted raspberry divisions. Great pattern.
