Creeping Sage

Salvia repens

Description

Creeping sage is an herbaceous fast-growing perennial plant. It has small white or blue flowers and aromatic leaves.

The plant is harvested from the wild for medicinal uses. Traditionally the leaves have been added to the bath for treating sores. Smoke from burning the plant can be used as a fumigant.

It is also grown as an oramental and can be used to form a ground cover. It’s flowering season is quite long.
