This list is still in progress. These are the plants listed in the Nebraska Pollinator Habitat Certification Program application. In cases where the application only lists a genus, I include all species native to Nebraska based on the BONAP Plant Atlas. For some genera, there are no truly native species to Nebraska. For these cases, I try to pick out “close enough” species or species that are introduced but naturalized (e.g. Camassia scilloides). There may be some cases where I leave out a genus that was included on the list when there are no near-native species or naturalized species (e.g. Crocus). In some cases, if there is at least some evidence that the species may be a risk of becoming invasive, I’ll choose to exclude it (e.g. Scilla sibirica). https://permapeople.org/psyspoop/plans/nebraska-pollinator-habitat-certification-program-1
